NIT 2015: Schedule, Live Stream, Bracket Predictions for Tuesday's Quarterfinals
Only eight teams remain standing in the NIT following a riveting second round.
Three top-seeded teams remain; however, only Temple appears to be in full control, as both Richmond and Old Dominion were heavily tested and came away with nail-biting victories. On the other side of the coin, No. 5 Vanderbilt remains as the tournament's only squad seeded higher than No. 3 after its offense continued its hot streak against South Dakota State.
The first two quarterfinal contests are set to kick off Tuesday, and we should be in for some compelling college hoops as No. 1 Richmond takes on No. 2 Miami and No. 5 Vanderbilt meets No. 2 Stanford. Which two squads will advance to the semifinals? Before we predict the answer to that question, here's a look at the day's essential viewing information.

Tuesday's Predictions
No. 1 Richmond vs. No. 2 Miami

For an offense that ranked 221st in points scored during the regular season, Richmond is sure lighting up the scoreboards in the NIT. After dropping 84 points on St. Francis in the opening round, the Spiders took down Arizona State 76-70 in overtime.
Richmond put together a well-rounded offensive effort against the Sun Devils, as Kendall Anthony led the way with 21 points, T.J. Cline bucketed 19, Terry Allen finished with 17 and ShawnDre' Jones scored 15 off the bench. As a team, the Spiders shot 47.4 percent from the floor, thanks in part to some great ball movement which resulted in 13 team assists.
The same can be said about Miami. Ranked 149th in points scored during the regular season, the Hurricanes weren't known for their point-scoring ability. However, after scoring 75 against NC Central, Miami continued its offensive hot streak with a 73-point effort against Alabama.
Guard Manu Lecomte scored a team-high 17 points, Devon Reed came away with 15 and Deandre Burnett scored 13 off the bench. Even though Alabama only had six turnovers, Miami continued to create shots with great work in the paint, coming away with 14 offensive rebounds. The team's ability to compete on the boards is what will propel it past an undersized Richmond squad in the quarterfinals.
Prediction: Miami 74, Richmond 71
No. 2 Stanford vs. No. 5 Vanderbilt

Following a brutal loss to Utah in the Pac-12 tournament, Stanford righted the ship in a big way heading into the NIT. The Cardinal downed UC Davis by a 13-point margin in Round 1 and followed that up with a nine-point victory over Rhode Island in the second round.
The brilliant play of Chasson Randle guided Stanford past the Rams. The guard put up 35 points after hitting 9-of-16 attempts from the floor and going 15-of-19 from the line. Anthony Brown played well in support, putting up 16 points, while 6'11" center Stefan Nastic hauled in 11 boards. The only concern going forward for the Cardinal was their overall shooting, as the team hit just 34 percent from the floor.
Vanderbilt began the NIT with a head of steam, taking down St. Mary's 75-64 before trouncing South Dakota State—the team that upset No. 1 Colorado State in Round 1—by a score of 92-77. Everything was clicking for the Commodores in that contest against the Jackrabbits.
Wade Baldwin IV led the charge with 20 points and added 10 rebounds for a solid double-double performance. He was complemented nicely by 6'10" center Damian Jones and forward James Siakam, who combined for 29 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Matthew Fisher-Davis scored 12 points and forward Luke Kornet had 12 off the bench. Vanderbilt's scoring depth will put it through to the semifinals.
Prediction: Vanderbilt 68, Stanford 64
