Christian Laettner Apologizes to Aminu Timberlake for Stepping on His Chest
Tristan ThornburghMar 15, 2015
Former Duke star Christian Laettner's 30 for 30: I Hate Christian Laettner premiered Sunday night and not surprisingly, a considerable portion of the ESPN documentary involved Laettner's infamous step on Kentucky's Aminu Timberlake during the 1992 NCAA tournament East Regional Final.
Laettner wasn't ejected for the stomp, and he later went on to make "The Shot" against Kentucky. That has always been a controversial decision, and while Laettner still believes the right call was made, he did apologize for stepping on Timberlake's chest all these years later.
You can watch the incident again below.
