Rick Pitino Blasts Student Journalist After Louisville's Loss to North Carolina

The Louisville Cardinals lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels 70-60 on Thursday night, so Rick Pitino probably wasn't in the best mood during his postgame presser.

This proved to be true when a student journalist from The Louisville Cardinal asked what seemed to be a fair question.

Here's the transcript of the query and Pitino's response, via The Courier-Journal:

Q. You said you went cold when they switched to zone. That's been giving you trouble all year. What is it about zone that gives your offense so much trouble?

PITINO: Well, you obviously see, if you're from the Louisville Cardinal, that we're not a great shooting team so that's a pretty silly question to ask. You watched the game, didn't you? So you don't have to be an X and O genius to figure that one out, do you?

Q. No.

PITINO: Okay.

"

The journalist, fortunately, was able to find a silver lining in the situation.
