We Remember: Kemba Walker Hits Buzzer-Beater vs. Pitt in Big East Tournament
Tyler BrookeMar 12, 2015
Before he was drafted No. 9 overall by the then-Charlotte Bobcats in the 2011 NBA draft, Kemba Walker was a star for the Connecticut Huskies.
Walker's college legacy was cemented after a terrific postseason run in 2011. Perhaps his best play came in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament.
With time running out against the Pittsburgh Panthers, Walker created space with a great step-back on Gary McGhee, then drilled the game-winning buzzer-beater.
Connecticut went on the win the Big East tournament and eventually another NCAA championship thanks to a terrific late-season surge from Walker.
