WWE WrestleMania 31: Stars Who Will Break Out at PPV Event

WrestleMania season is the most important time for WWE, and the 2015 edition of the largest pay-per-view of the year will feature a plethora of Superstars looking to exceed expectations and steal the show at the event.

From Bray Wyatt standing toe-to-toe with Undertaker to Roman Reigns main-eventing WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar, there are several unproven stars with the opportunity to demonstrate that the future is bright for WWE.

Here are the top stars to watch as they have a breakout performance at WrestleMania 31.

Bray Wyatt Shines Against Undertaker

Regardless of what you think about Bray Wyatt, he has become one of the top mic workers in the business today and has one of the deepest and most thought-provoking characters in years.

His evil promos make him a perfect antagonist for Undertaker.

While Wyatt vs. Undertaker was not considered one of the ideal matches for this year’s WrestleMania—many fans wanted to see The Deadman return to fight Sting—the meeting of two supernatural characters will result in an incredible build and great match.

Wyatt has carried the feud thus far on the mic as the only participant on television each week, and he deserves credit for making this storyline palatable.

Once Undertaker returns to WWE programming, likely at WrestleMania, he will be the one to dictate the pace of the match.

There are few fans who believe Wyatt will be able to carry Undertaker in the ring, but with the legend’s experience on the biggest stage of them all, the two men will be able to work together to craft an unforgettable bout.

Roman Reigns Surprises the WWE Universe

There is a vocal portion of the WWE Universe that has already turned on Roman Reigns in the last two months since his Royal Rumble victory, but the hand-chosen star of the future will surprise everyone at WrestleMania.

Just as Wyatt will lean on Undertaker to carry a large portion of the match and dictate the pace, Reigns will look to WWE world heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to do the same.

Lesnar doesn’t get enough credit as a great technician and in-ring storyteller.

Instead of booking Reigns to be the second coming of The Rock, WWE has been wise to feed him fewer lines and alleviate some of the pressure on his shoulders. Now that more and more fans are jumping on his bandwagon with each passing week, he must back it up with a standout performance at WrestleMania.

As long as Lesnar is willing to play ball with WWE, he will do everything in his power to make Reigns look strong while still making the in-ring battle feel authentic.

If Reigns has an excellent showing and wins the world title, WrestleMania 31 will be his career-defining moment.

Mizdow Has a Breakout Moment

There are many wrestlers poised for a breakout performance, but few have the proper storyline and opportunity that Damien Mizdow has in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Mizdow has been living in the shadow of The Miz for a long time. He started as the stunt double for his former employer, but The Miz became jealous over the fact that Mizdow was getting a better reaction. A tag team championship reign and several confrontations later, and it’s finally time for the duo to break up.

In the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the hope is that Mizdow and The Miz are the final two men left in the ring, forcing the former personal assistant to stand up for himself and throw Miz over the top rope for the victory.

With the proper build following this match, Mizdow should be elevated on the card.
