Tim Bontemps of the New York Post previously reported Karasev wouldn't travel with the team as it prepares for an upcoming four-game road trip.
The Nets announced earlier Tuesday night that the 21-year-old sprained his right knee and would have tests done Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury. Rod Boone of Newsday reported that Karasev was using crutches after the game.
Devin Kharpertian of The Brooklyn Game thought at the time the way in which Karasev injured his knee didn't bode well for his outlook:
Karasev entered the game averaging 4.8 points and two rebounds a game for Brooklyn.
Although he doesn't occupy a vital role for the Nets, he provides depth off the bench, something the team will need as it continues its push for the playoffs.
