He's the third Badger to win the award:
Kaminsky finished the regular season third in the Big Ten in scoring (18.4 points a game) and second in rebounding (8.1 boards a game). He can't take sole credit for the regular-season conference title, but he was the Badgers' most important player.
According to Sports-Reference, he also led the Big Ten in player efficiency rating (35.6), effective field-goal percentage (.603), true shooting percentage (.635) and win shares (7.9).
The Big Ten Network illustrated just how good Kaminsky has performed in 2014-15:
Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com noted how much the senior has developed over the years:
Wisconsin heads into the Big Ten tournament as the top seed and favorite to win, and should the Badgers do so, they could lock down a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tourney.
Much of the team's fortunes hinge on Kaminsky. He stepped up big last March, and a repeat of that could have Wisconsin in the Final Four once again.
