Daily Fantasy College Basketball 2015: Top Player Picks for March 9-10
The start of conference tournaments creates a different look for daily fantasy college basketball, but the opportunity to make money is still there.
In order to give competitors multiple options, DraftKings has paired Monday night's Gonzaga battle against Pepperdine with Tuesday's first round of the ACC tournament. While this means you have to plan ahead, there are still plenty of options of top players to choose from in the six-team contest.
Here is a look at the top player picks to give you the most value on March 9.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Olivier Hanlan, Boston College ($10,300)
Are you really going to spend more than one-fifth of your budget on a single player? Yes, but only based on the limited options around him.
At this price, you want someone who is really going to separate himself from the pack. Olivier Hanlan has the opportunity to do that with his elite scoring ability as by far the best option on a mediocre Boston College team.
At 19.4 points per game, Hanlan led the ACC in scoring this season and was named first-team all-conference, which is no small feat on a team that finished just 4-14 in league play. Some debated his inclusion over players on better teams, but ESPN's Bob Picozzi had other thoughts:
It's also important to remember the guard put up 41 points in the ACC tournament against Georgia Tech as a freshman two years ago, so greatness cannot be ignored. With this upside, he can be the best pick you make.
Przemek Karnowski, Gonzaga ($6,800)

The most difficult part about picking Gonzaga players is figuring out which one will have a big game on a certain day. Between Kyle Wiltjer, Przemek Karnowski, Domantas Sabonis and others, the frontcourt rotation is as deep as any team in the nation.
However, the recent play of Karnowski should make you lean his way Monday night. The center is averaging 15 points per game over the last four, including a 24-point outing against San Francisco. He also has the ability to post a double-double almost any night.
With Pepperdine lacking size inside, the 7'1" junior should be able to dominate.
Adam Smith, Virginia Tech ($5,600)
Like the case with Olivier Hanlan, it's easier to trust a player on a bad team when he often has the ball in his hands.
Adam Smith has had some bad games (like his three-point dud last game against Miami), but he has also carried Virginia Tech at times, scoring at least 15 points in the previous five games. He leads the team with 13.7 points per game and should be able to put up big numbers against a weak Wake Forest defense.
If his team struggles early and Smith is forced to start chucking up a lot of shots, that could be even better for fantasy owners.
Charles Mitchell, Georgia Tech ($5,200)

Georgia Tech's already poor hopes for the ACC tournament were exacerbated by the injury to Marcus Georges-Hunt. The team's leading scorer broke his foot and will miss the rest of the year.
On the other hand, this injury leaves an opening for more player time for forward Charles Mitchell. Although they don't play the same position, the Maryland transfer helped fill the hole in the team's recent game against North Carolina, finishing with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Mitchell has been one of the most efficient offensive rebounders in the nation this season, ranking sixth in the country in offensive rebounding percentage, according to KenPom.com. With increased minutes, he has a chance to star against Boston College.
Kyle Dranginis, Gonzaga ($3,900)
With only three games to choose from, there isn't too much depth on the board. This makes it difficult to find cheap options capable of coming through for your team.
However, one player with decent upside is Gonzaga guard Kyle Dranginis.
The junior has only played sparingly this season, but he has become a bigger part of the rotation as of late with a combined 46 minutes in the past two games. In the last game, he filled in for an injured Kyle Wiltjer and filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists.
According to Jim Meehan of The Spokesman Review, Wiltjer is questionable for the upcoming game. This could mean even more playing time for Dranginis and possible sleeper production.
