NFL Rumors: Latest Buzz Surrounding Biggest Names in 2015 Free Agency
While NFL teams don't want to build their teams exclusively through free agency, some of the signings this offseason can cause a dramatic shift in the league.
Ndamukong Suh is going to make the biggest splash of 2015, as he's set to sign with the Miami Dolphins for about $114 million, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Although there won't be too many contracts at that level this offseason, many other players have the ability to greatly impact the upcoming season based on where they sign.
Obviously, the biggest stars are pursued by the most teams, so it might be tough to guess where they will land. However, here are the latest rumors surrounding some of the top players on the market.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
DeMarco Murray, Running Back
The Dallas Cowboys want to keep DeMarco Murray, but there is a big difference between wanting to make it happen and actually doing it. Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports discussed the issue:
Interestingly, Robinson also reported another team has gained interest lately:
This would certainly be a splash for the Jacksonville Jaguars, especially for a team that has lacked star power in recent years. The 3-13 team ranked just 31st in the league in total offense last season as well, and there is no doubt Murray would be an upgrade.
On the other hand, Pete Prisco of CBS Sports doesn't think this move makes sense for Jacksonville:
If the Jaguars don't end up pulling the trigger on the talented running back, there might not be too many more options to drive up the price. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk speculated a lack of suitors could limit any potential deal to no more than $8 million per year.
Considering Murray not only led the NFL in rushing this past season but obliterated his competition, one would think this would be a chance to really cash in. However, the running back position has been devalued in recent years, and it seems likely he ends up in the place that values him the most: Dallas.
Julius Thomas, Tight End

While the Jaguars are entertaining the thought of signing Murray, they appear to be much closer to completing a deal for Julius Thomas, according to Mike Klis of The Denver Post:
"Tight end Julius Thomas, though, is working out contract details with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to an NFL source. The deal is not done, although it may simply be waiting on the market to officially open at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Thomas was expected to get a five-year contract worth close to $9 million per year.
"
It seems likely Thomas will get his money no matter where he lands after coming out of nowhere to total 24 touchdown receptions over the past two seasons. A lot of that can be attributed to playing with Peyton Manning, but the 6'5" tight end is truly a mismatch who excels at getting the ball in the end zone.
ESPN's Adam Caplan believes this type of signing would really help out Blake Bortles:
Bortles had a bit of a rough rookie season after being the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 draft. The quarterback posted just a 69.5 quarterback rating thanks to his 17 interceptions with only 11 touchdowns.
Still, it's tough for any quarterback to succeed with a supporting cast of young receivers who were in and out of the lineup all season. Thomas could provide Bortles with a safety net all over the field and truly be a difference-maker for a team that needs it.
Brian Hoyer, Quarterback

Compared to past seasons, the current quarterback class isn't much to write home about. Brian Hoyer, who had a solid run with the Cleveland Browns before losing his job to Johnny Manziel, appears to be the best option on the market.
As a result, two teams in desperate need for a quarterback are doing what they can to bring him aboard.
According to Albert Breer of NFL Network, the Houston Texans are the current favorite to sign Hoyer:
However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the New York Jets are still in contention:
Hoyer had his ups and downs with the Browns, but he proved he can at least lead a team to some success. He is now going into free agency with positive thoughts, via Jim Corbett of USA Today:
"It's an exciting time, my first time as a free agent.
You don't know where you'll be living in two months. The good thing is I'll have an opportunity to be on an NFL team, and hopefully, compete for a starting job. ...I have a lot to offer whatever team I go to. My best football is still ahead.
"
This is certainly what the Texans and Jets want to hear, because they both could use an upgrade at the position. Houston especially seemed just a capable quarterback away from being a contender based on the great defensive play and the work of running back Arian Foster.
Wherever he lands, it seems like he will at least get a chance to earn that starting job he believes he deserves.
