Daniel Bryan Deserves Marquee Singles Match at WWE WrestleMania 31
Former WWE world heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan is one of the most popular Superstars in the wrestling industry but still doesn’t have a match at WrestleMania 31, which is only three weeks away.
Instead of being thrown into the Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, Bryan deserves to be featured in a marquee singles bout.
As arguably the best pure in-ring technician in the company, Bryan knows how to steal the show at WrestleMania. He proved last year in the opening match against Triple H and main event against Randy Orton and Batista that he has the prowess to exceed expectations.

If he were part of the multi-man Ladder match, he would be competing for the spotlight with Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose and others. Those men need rubs of their own, and stealing the spotlight in the IC title scene does nothing to capitalize on how over Bryan is with the WWE Universe.
Bryan gets the best reactions every single week and is one of the most popular wrestlers of the last decade. As the ultimate underdog character, WWE is shooting itself in the foot by not booking Bryan to be in one of the top singles feuds on the card.
The answer to all of these problems is Sheamus' return as a heel enforcer for The Authority.
The company must understand the value Bryan adds to any card, and bringing Sheamus back as the antagonist for the leading protagonist WWE is the last-second addition WrestleMania needs.
The WrestleMania 31 card is underwhelming thus far, but adding Bryan against a newly heel Sheamus should have wrestling fans intrigued. The two men have great chemistry, and a fresh juxtaposition will make it feel new and unique.
With Bryan portraying the role of the underdog who will be striving to overcome the new muscle for The Authority, WWE can further the overarching storyline of Bryan's standing up against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon while still giving Sheamus the character upgrade he desperately needs.
Instead of blindly throwing Bryan into a meaningless Intercontinental Championship match, allowing him to fill a space on the card with an incredible singles match would be much better use of his talent.
Bryan deserves to be fighting for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but a singles match against Sheamus is better than nothing.
