ACC Tournament 2015: Bracket Seeds, Odds, Matchups and Predictions
After the conference created some of the most exciting college basketball games of the season, the ACC tournament should be more of the same.
The teams at the top of the standings are hoping to not only come home with a conference title but improve their seeding for the NCAA tournament. Duke and Virginia are looking at No. 1 seeds at the moment, with Notre Dame, Louisville and North Carolina all hoping for high seeds as well, but a lot will have to do with what happens in Greensboro, North Carolina.
On the other hand, teams with disappointing seasons to this point can always turn things around with a surprise run to a championship. This means you should make sure to follow all of the action by using this guide.

Predictions

While the first-round games are unlikely to have too much impact on the rest of the tournament, fans should want to tune in to watch Olivier Hanlan. The Boston College star led the ACC with 19.4 points per game and was also named first-team All-ACC, according to Stephen Wiseman of The (Durham, North Carolina) Herald-Sun:
If the Eagles can remain alive in the tournament, Hanlan has a chance to pull off an upset in the later rounds almost by himself.
Of course, the real action starts to pick up Wednesday in the second round. North Carolina could have its hands full with Boston College but should make it out alive. North Carolina State and Miami also need to avoid bad losses to keep their bubble hopes alive, as an early exit could be damaging.
The Hurricanes are especially in tough shape and might even need a second-round win over Notre Dame to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports is one person who believes in them:
With their backs against the wall, they do have what it takes to knock off the Fighting Irish in the quarterfinals and secure their place in the 68-team tournament.
Another big quarterfinal game will be Louisville taking on North Carolina. The teams split their two contests during the regular season, one game going to overtime and the other decided by one point.
Finishing games has been a major problem for the Tar Heels this season, and they could use a win like this to improve their resume. They head into the ACC tournament just 1-7 against teams in the top 25 in the RPI.
The extra depth on the roster will help the Heels in a long tournament like this one, though, and Roy Williams' squad should be able to pull off this win.

Still, the entire championship will likely come down to the expected final between Duke and Virginia. They have been the two best teams in the conference all year, and that will be on full display in Greensboro.
Nicole Auerbach of USA Today also noted the individual awards these squads received:
Tony Bennett has gotten Virginia to play some of the best defense in the nation, leading all teams with just 50.3 points per game allowed. However, Jahlil Okafor is extremely difficult to stop, especially when you also have to account for his teammates.
Quinn Cook and Tyus Jones combined for 44 points in Saturday's win over North Carolina, proving once again how dangerous this backcourt tandem can be. Jones especially has been impressive with the ability to step up in the most important moments.
"Every game, every big-time game, he takes it to another level," Cook said about Jones, via Laura Keeley of The Charlotte Observer. "I'm just happy he's on my team."
Look for Jones to once again take over in front of what will be a lot of Duke fans in the conference tournament finals.
