WWE Superstar of the Week for March 7
With WrestleMania 31 coming up in a few weeks, things are starting to heat up in WWE. All of the major feuds are being pushed hard, and all of the titles are getting a lot of attention.
This past week saw many Superstars rise to the occasion and deliver some great performances, but like always, there were also some missteps along the way.
Before we get to the Superstar of the Week, let's take a look at some of the people who were in the running.

Honorable Mention: Everyone in the IC Title Feud
The Intercontinental Championship has been one of the main focal points of every show due to the fact that Brock Lesnar and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship are not around to be featured.
Bad News Barrett has found himself without a title belt for the past couple of weeks thanks to the antics of Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth and Luke Harper.
While tossing the belt from one Superstar to the other might not seem like a great way to bring prestige back to the title, it certainly makes it look like something everyone wants to get his hands on.
Just this past week, Stardust and Daniel Bryan were teased as possibly being involved in the Ladder match at WrestleMania in addition to the already long list of wrestlers who are gunning for a shot at the gold.
R-Truth has been entertaining during all this. His comedic side has really come to the surface during his time at the commentary table, and he has brought some new energy to a program that was already interesting.
All the wrestlers who have been trying to get their hands on the title have performed well in one way or another, and they should turn out one of the most exciting matches at the pay-per-view.
Honorable Mention: Seth Rollins and Jon Stewart
Mr. Money in the Bank had one of the most entertaining segments this week when he came face to face with the host of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart.
Stewart and Rollins verbally sparred for several minutes, with Stewart displaying his wrestling knowledge and Rollins proving he could hang with a legitimate celebrity who talks for a living.
It's not often that a non-wrestling segment is one of the biggest highlights of any show, but this one was entertaining and kept the attention of the crowd from start to finish.

Rollins was able to stand his ground against a guy who has interviewed presidents, celebrities and scholars. Every week, Rollins proves he deserves his spot as one of the top heels in the company, and this was another one of those times.
Stewart ended up getting a little physical with a swift kick to the groin right at the end, but it was the way he showed what a big fan he is of the sport that made him one of the best guests in recent history.
Hopefully, Stewart finds his way back to WWE some time down the line, because it's not often that a celebrity is able to connect with the crowd the way he did.
Superstar of the Week for March 7: AJ Lee and Brie Bella
It's typically just one person who is named the Superstar of the Week, but there is no way that we can ignore the contributions of both these women over the past week.
First, AJ Lee returned on Monday to a huge pop from the crowd. It was evident by their response that the fans had missed her, and the fact that she got one of the best reactions of the night shows that there are some Divas who can connect with the crowd more than the rest.
Second, Brie Bella, along with her sister Nikki, delivered a great promo on SmackDown that showed they are truly passionate about giving the Divas division a chance to succeed.
Everyone always criticizes the Bellas for not being talented wrestlers or skilled talkers, but they have worked hard to change those perceptions, and it's beginning to pay off.
AJ's return and the Bellas' promo were certainly highlights, but it was the match between Brie and AJ on SmackDown that proved the #GiveDivasAChance movement has a shot at succeeding.
They were given close to eight minutes to work with and definitely made the most of that time. They put on what can easily be considered the best main roster Divas match of 2015, and it was because both women, not just AJ, put all their skills on display.
Longer matches are one of the main things that will lead to fans and backstage officials taking the division seriously, and with performances like what we saw on Thursday, we should all be hoping to see more of this going forward.
Both women were on point from the opening bell until Brie tapped out to the Black Widow. Rest holds were kept to a minimum, and they took a few risks to ensure the fans got their money's worth.
AJ has been viewed as a great wrestler for a long time, but Brie is just now starting to be recognized for the improvements she has made to her game.
There are plenty of talented Divas on the roster who just need a chance to shine, and AJ and Brie may have given them that chance by justifying WWE's decision to test the waters with some longer bouts.
Nikki and Paige had a decent showing on Raw, but AJ and Brie outdid them on Thursday in just about every way.
Moving forward, it looks like the ladies of WWE will be given a shot at proving they can contribute more than quick matches and good looks, and they have social media to thank for the opportunity.
Ten years ago, this never would have happened. Fans didn't have the ability to reach management the way they do now, and because of that, an entire group of people who love what they do will get the chance to prove to the world that they deserve better than what they have been given for the last decade.
Women's wrestling has always taken a backseat to the men, and that will probably never change, but with the right women in the right places at the right time, it will give the Divas division a chance to have a bigger slice of the pie.
AJ and Brie are two very different characters, but they worked together to have one of the best matches of the week, and for that, they both earned the title of Superstar of the Week.
What do you think? Were you impressed by AJ and Brie's match on Thursday? What other women would you like to see given a chance to prove they have what it takes to succeed?
