NCAA Brackets 2015: Real-Time Seed and Region Projections for All 68 Teams

Kerry MillerMar 9, 2015

It's here! It's finally here! Selection Sunday has arrived!

A four-month journey that began way back on Nov. 14 comes down to this.

Some teams are hoping to see their name as a No. 1 seed. Others are just hoping to see their name at all. But if you're not patient enough for the big reveal, here's our projection for what the Selection Committee will do.

We will continue to update this projectionas well as our real-time bubble watchright up until the final buzzer sounds in the Big Ten championship game.

Speaking of which, that game might have a major impact on the final bracket.

The end of the night on Saturday brought about perhaps the most noteworthy bracket update of the entire week: Arizona slaughtered Oregon to win the Pac-12 championship and claim the fourth No. 1 seed (at least temporarily.)

If Wisconsin wins the Big Ten championship Sunday, the Badgers would arguably have a slightly better resume than Arizona.

Howeveras we learned in the mock selection committee in Februaryconference championship games played on Sunday afternoon typically don't have much of an impact. And even if it finishes in two hours, the Big Ten championship game wouldn't end until 30 minutes before the selection show begins.

Would the selection committee put Wisconsin on the top line and run the risk of looking dumb if the Badgers lose to the Spartans, or will it simply put Wisconsin as a No. 2 seed, arguing that it's pretty much a coin flip even if Wisconsin does win?

We're projecting that Arizona will remain the No. 1 seed regardless of what happens in the Big Ten title game, but it was not an easy decision.

In descending order, our No. 1 seeds are Kentucky, Villanova, Duke and Arizona. As far as the "Last Four In" and "First Four Out" go, you'll have to check the bubble watch. Illinois is our last team in the field because who you beat is more important than who beat you, and the Illini have three RPI Top 25 wins.

Here's a look at Bleacher Report's projection of the tournament field as of Selection Sunday 10:40 a.m. ET.
