Alves Returns vs. Granada

Saturday, Feb. 28

Barcelona's official Twitter feed reported that Alves has returned for the team's clash with Granada.

Alves Injured vs. Manchester City

Tuesday, Feb. 24

Dani Alves was taken off injured in the second half of Barcelona's 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the Champions League last-16 first leg on Tuesday.

As reported by the Catalan club, the Brazilian picked up the knock after a high challenge to the knee from Gael Clichy, for which the City defender received his second yellow card of the match:

Alves was replaced at right-back by Adriano with 15 minutes remaining, City having pulled a goal back through Sergio Aguero just six minutes earlier after a Luis Suarez first-half double saw Barca take control of the tie at the Etihad Stadium.

Dermot Corrigon of ESPN provided details from Barcelona manager Luis Enrique:

Alves reacted angrily after being taken off, per HuffPostUK Sport, although it is unclear whether he was unhappy at being substituted or because he had picked up an injury:

As Spanish football expert Dermot Corrigan notes, his reaction seems to indicate he is not too badly injured:

However, the full extent of Alves' injury is as yet unclear, nor is it known whether he will be available for Barca's La Liga trip to Granada on Saturday.
