Liverpool Unbeaten at Anfield Since 'Guy Dressed as Jesus' Started Turning Up

Sean FayFeb 24, 2015

After enduring a poor start to the season, it seems like the prayers of Liverpool fans are finally being answered.

Liverpool are the form side in the Premier League at the moment and they are back in the mix for a top-four place.

What's behind this renaissance? The move to three at the back? The return of Daniel Sturridge? The emergence of Emre Can?

No. It has, of course, all been down to a fan who has been dressing up as Jesus.

As per Metro:

"

Before Liverpool’s clash with Arsenal at Anfield back in December, Brendan Rodgers’ side were struggling down in 11th place—10 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

But once a man dressed up as Jesus turned up at Anfield, the Reds' season was magically turned around.

The Reds were evidently inspired by the second coming as they held the Gunners to a 2-2 draw in that game, a result which has turned out to be the first in a 10-game unbeaten league run.

"

Liverpool are now sixth in the Premier League, just two points behind United in fourth.

The two sides meet at Anfield at the end of the month, Liverpool fans will be hoping that "Jesus" can get a ticket.
