Seahawks Fans' Skittles Toss During Super Bowl Sets Off Sports Bar's Sprinklers
Skittles are a beloved candy to Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and Seahawks fans everywhere. However, the candy can apparently be a bit of a hazard.
According to KOMO News, Seahawks fans at Sport Restaurant—a Seattle sports bar—set off the restaurant's sprinklers during Super Bowl XLIX by throwing bags of Skittles into the air. And it came at a really bad time.
Seattle got the ball back right before the two-minute warning, trailing the New England Patriots 28-24. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson connected with Lynch on the first play of the drive for a 31-yard gain. The big play led to fans throwing bags of Skittles into the air, causing the sprinklers to go off.

The sprinklers soaked everyone and everything in the bar, and the fire alarm went off. That may have been a bad omen.
A few moments later, Wilson threw an interception at the goal line, which erased any chance Seattle had of winning the game. Not only did the Seahawks fans have to watch their team lose in heartbreaking fashion, but they also had to do so while soaking wet.
Let this be a lesson to Seahawks fans: Skittles should be treated as sacred candy. Tossing them around like they are nothing is not the right thing to do. Instead, fans should simply enjoy snacking on the rainbow candy every time Beast Mode makes a big play.
