Aldrich Exits with Shin Injury

Wednesday, Jan. 28

The Knicks' official public relations Twitter page relayed the details on Aldrich's injury:

Aldrich was the 11th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft but was traded to the Thunder, where he played sparse minutes in two seasons.

As a member of New York's woeful squad this season, playing time has been limited for Aldrich, as he averaged 17 minutes per contest entering Wednesday's game. That doesn't bode well for his bid to ever live up to his gaudy draft status.

Whatever he lacks in overall production, Aldrich at least provides a rebounding threat, something the Knicks badly need.
