Marshawn Lynch Sets Record for Most Postseason Rushing TDs in Seahawks History
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch's main objective in Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots may have been to win the game, but setting a record is nice too.
With Lynch's three-yard touchdown in the second quarter, he moved into first place on Seattle's postseason rushing touchdown list.
Per ESPN Stats & Info, Lynch entered the Super Bowl tied with Shaun Alexander with eight career postseason rushing touchdowns:

Even though Lynch has never led the NFL in rushing yards, he's been a machine when it comes to finding the end zone. Seattle's controversial running back led the league in rushing touchdowns during the regular season in each of the last two years, scoring a total of 25 in that span.
Jason Churchill of ESPN.com noted after the NFC Championship Game against Green Bay that Lynch has been money in the postseason throughout his career:
There are a lot of reasons Seattle has been so successful over the last three years, including the two Super Bowl appearances in the last two seasons, but there's a valid argument that Lynch is the biggest. He's run for more than 100 yards four times in the last six playoff games and has scored in seven of the last eight.
The Seahawks don't have an explosive offense, relying more on the read-option with Lynch and Russell Wilson to move the ball. That dynamic doesn't work if opponents don't respect the running back. No player has proven to be more difficult to bring down than Seattle's star, so it's fitting he sets this franchise record.
