Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reported the news:
Stuckey is averaging 11.8 points per game as part of an extremely balanced scoring effort for the Pacers. Although Stuckey's ability to create plays will be missed, Indiana will likely call on a capable role player in Donald Sloan to fill the void.
It was already going to be tough for the Pacers to get a win on the road against the Western Conference leaders, though. Indiana could have used Stuckey's services in its bid for an upset at Oracle Arena, especially against a backcourt of Golden State's caliber featuring Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Pacers coach Frank Vogel has built his reputation on defense, as his squad ranks first in the Association in points allowed per contest entering Wednesday. It will take an extraordinary effort to keep Golden State's No. 2 scoring offense in check.
