Coming out of Oak Ridge High School in Florida, Blakeney made his decision a national event during halftime of a doubleheader event on ESPNU.

Not that there was much mystery, but Jeff Borzello of ESPN.com tweeted that Blakeney's decision came down to three SEC schools:

LSU was seen as the heavy favorite coming into the day, with Chris Fisher of 247Sports.com noting the Tigers were receiving 76 percent of the votes from its experts and insiders about Blakeney's choice:

Blakeney originally committed to Louisville last September but withdrew that commitment less than two weeks later. He told Reggie Rankin of ESPN.com the Cardinals' choice was "a quick and emotional decision based on some of the wrong reasons."

Since reopening his recruiting, Blakeney has been one of the most coveted players in the country for next season. He's a 6'4", 170-pound guard who can play either the 1 or 2, though he's best suited for the latter because of his natural ability and instinct to create his own shots rather than distribute.

With his combination of size and long limbs, Blakeney possesses no real weaknesses. He's already a star at the high school level and should have few problems making the transition to college. He's a true impact player who brings instant offense and credibility to his school's 2015 recruiting class.
