Daily Fantasy Football Week 16: Best Lineup Advice, Matchups for 1-Week Leagues
Life is all about finding the right match. Have you ever gone on a road trip with the wrong person? Or worn a light coat outdoors when the weather called for something heavier?
Those are miserable experiences, and they arose because you didn't have the foresight to recognize your choice wasn't compatible with the task at hand.
Fantasy football is no different, especially one-week leagues. A great player can be foiled by a bad matchup. A mediocre player can be elevated by a strong one. If you play the matchups correctly, you can find bargain prices on fringe players, ignore overpriced stars and ultimately win your matchup.

Matchups Analysis

You can focus on two games this week if you are focusing only on matchups at the quarterback position: the Philadelphia Eagles facing Washington, and the New Orleans Saints taking on the Atlanta Falcons.
Here's a quick look at why these games feature great matchups for the quarterbacks involved:
| Philadelphia | 257 | T26 | 29 | T29 |
| Washington | 238 | 17 | 31 | 31 |
| New Orleans | 257 | T26 | 24 | T21 |
| Atlanta | 293 | 32 | 18 | T5 |
Obviously, Drew Brees and Matt Ryan are far easier to trust than Mark Sanchez and Robert Griffin III, but if your game is picking the matchups, all four of these players might be worth a roll of the dice.
I also really like Matt Stafford this week. The NFL-worst 33 touchdown passes allowed by the Chicago Bears this season have a lot to do with it.
Few decisions are easier each week than starting the running back facing the Oakland Raiders, a defense that gives up 155.9 yards from scrimmage to opposing running backs per week and has given up 19 touchdowns to the position this year.
Only the Falcons have given up that many scores to opposing backs.
While it's harder to justify starting a Jacksonville Jaguars running back this week, the Tennessee Titans are giving up 139.6 rushing yards per game, worst in the NFL. I'm not brave enough to get anywhere near Toby Gerhart in any fantasy format, but if you are, he has a great matchup this week.
Given what we already went over, it's hardly surprising that the Eagles, the Saints, the Falcons and Washington would also be accommodating to opposing wideouts. Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson and Julio Jones are all great options this week.
But another interesting matchup for wide receivers is the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Houston Texans. The Ravens have given up 2,822 receiving yards to opposing wideouts, 31st in the NFL. The Texans have given up 2,659 receiving yards to opposing wideouts (30th) and 19 touchdowns (tied 28th).
Torrey Smith, Steve Smith and DeAndre Hopkins sure are looking like solid options this week.
The New York Jets can't be looking forward to seeing Rob Gronkowski this week. The Jets have given up 12 touchdowns to opposing tight ends, 31st in the NFL, and Gronk is the best player at the position this season. Expect another monster showing from New England's most dangerous offensive weapon.

Normally, I'd advise starting the defense facing the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not this week. You can't trust the Tennessee Titans.
You can trust the Green Bay Packers, the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills, however. The Packers should swarm the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after last week's loss to the Bills, while Detroit has the good fortune of facing a Bears team in disarray.
Oh, and the Bills face the Raiders. Not much more needs to be said there.
