Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 29 points (15 of which came in the first quarter) on 8-of-22 shooting, but the Lakers shot just 38.8 percent from the field. However, the Lakers did drill a season-high 12 threes in the loss while shooting 41.4 percent from beyond the arc.

John Wall was sensational in the win, totaling 17 points and 15 assists for his 10th double-double of the season. Wall has now recorded at least 13 assists in back-to-back games.

Marcin Gortat added a double-double consisting of 21 points and 11 rebounds while Kris Humphries pulled down a game-high 20 rebounds to go with six points. To put things in perspective, the Lakers recorded 43 rebounds as a team.

Nick Young scored a season-high 21 points (7-of-14 shooting, 5-of-8 from three) off the bench, but Lakers players not named Bryant or Young combined to make just 18 shots.

The Wizards struggled from three, knocking down just 6-of-19 attempts, but dominated the paint to the tune of a 56-20 advantage down low.

The Lakers will attempt to get back on the winning track Friday against the Boston Celtics while the Wizards are set for a showdown with the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
