Luck Becomes 1st Quarterback with 4,000 Passing Yards in 2014
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck threw for 370 yards in Sunday's 49-27 win over the Washington Redskins to become the first player with 4,000 passing yards this season.
A lone interception aside, the third-year pro was remarkably efficient, completing 19 passes for 370 yards and five touchdowns on only 27 attempts.
With 4,011 passing yards through 12 games, Luck joins Dan Marino and Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks to hit the 4,000-yard mark in two of their first three seasons, per Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports.

Additionally, the 25-year-old former Stanford Cardinal broke one of Manning's franchise records Sunday, becoming the first Colts quarterback with 10 300-yard passing games in a season, per Kevin Bowen of Colts.com.
An overwhelming favorite to lead the league in passing yards, Luck currently sits 263 ahead of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who has 3,748 through 12 games.
Luck is on pace to finish the year with 5,348 passing yards, which would represent the third-best single-season total in NFL history, trailing only Manning's 5,477 from 2013 and Brees' 5,476 from 2011.
There have been just eight 5,000-yard seasons in NFL history, with four of those credited to Brees, while Manning, Tom Brady, Matt Stafford and Dan Marino are each responsible for one.
Luck is also on pace for 45 touchdown passes, which would tie him with Aaron Rodgers (2011) for sixth place on the single-season list.
