Terrell Suggs Needs Half a Sack to Reach 100 for Career
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has 99.5 career sacks entering Monday's game against the New Orleans Saints, needing just one half of a sack to become the 31st player with 100, per the Ravens' official website.
Already the all-time leading sack artist in Ravens history, the 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is having a bit of a down season in that regard, with just five sacks through Baltimore's first 10 games.
While never one to post the gaudiest sack totals, Suggs recorded double-digit sacks in three of the previous four seasons, falling short only in 2012, when a torn Achilles tendon limited him to eight games.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 32-year-old linebacker has never recorded more than 14 sacks in a single season, and he even went five consecutive years (2005-09) without reaching double digits.
Approaching 100 sacks has thus been a process, with Suggs getting a boost from the fact that his NFL career began at the age of 20. It also helps that he's played every game in all but two of his 12 seasons, missing just 11 regular-season contests over the years.
Of course, Suggs' career achievements haven't just been about longevity, as his contributions go far beyond the sack column. He's long been one of the top run-defending 3-4 outside linebackers, and he's even proven to be more than capable in pass coverage.
Unlike other top pass-rushers, Suggs has never had the freedom to simply pin his ears back and go after the quarterback, due to his other responsibilities in the Baltimore defense.
