As if battling for a playoff spot wasn't stressful enough, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton now has to worry about his Twitter account being targeted by hackers.

On Tuesday afternoon, Newton's Twitter feed featured some pretty bizarre tweets.

S/O to whoever hacked Cam Newton's Twitter lol http://t.co/yKRJVkCTYH

He called Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman "overrated"? Although it may be funny to see that come from Newton's account, that tweet pretty much gave it away that he had been hacked.

The Panthers were quick to let everyone know that their franchise quarterback's account had indeed been compromised.

Cam Newton's twitter account has been hacked, we're currently working to resolve the issue.

Newton sent out a tweet after practice to let everyone know he was back in control of his account.

The tweets have since been deleted, but Newton will want to make sure all of his social media accounts are secure.

Apparently, hackers were able to gain access even after Newton supposedly gained control.
