Peyton Manning Rumors: Latest Buzz, Speculation on Broncos QB's NFL Future
In the NFL, nothing is better than winning, namely winning the Super Bowl. But for the Denver Broncos, winning this year's Super Bowl could end up being both the best of times and the worst of times.
Why?
Because Peyton Manning could decide to call it quits if the team wins this year's title, that's why, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com:

Manning is 38, of course, and he's had major surgery on his neck that cost him an entire season before he came to the Broncos, so the end of his career was always forthcoming. But for a Broncos team with so many talented players in their prime, losing Manning after this season would be a major blow.
However, Conor Orr of NFL.com weighed in on the impact of Manning returning to the Broncos next season:
"Manning's projected return would obviously have ripple effects throughout the league. His decision would likely impact the immediate futures of head coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Adam Gase, one of the hottest names in coaching at the moment.
It would also sink Denver one year deeper into what has been an obvious push to win a Super Bowl, delaying their eventual rebuild for another season.
"
A very strong argument can be made that Manning has played the best football of his career since coming to Denver. In 41 games with the team, he's thrown for 13,048 yards, 121 touchdowns and completed 68.3 percent of his passes, and last year set NFL records for passing yards (5,477) and touchdowns (55) in a single season.
There's little doubt he could continue to produce at a high level for at least another season, and perhaps several more. The Broncos will be hoping he does just that. But if Manning does win the Super Bowl this year, the desire to leave on the highest note like another former Denver quarterback and current general manager and vice president of football operations, John Elway, might be too good of an opportunity to pass up.
