Ellis Injures Knee vs. West Virginia, Did Not Return
Tuesday, March 3
Ellis left Kansas' game against the West Virginia Mountaineers with a knee injury, per KWCH 12.
Despite not returning for the second half of Kansas' thrilling 76-69 overtime win, the Jayhawks star did come out of the locker room in sweatpants and flip-flops with only a slight limp, per KAKE-TV's Rachel Kilmer.
Ellis is vital to Kansas' chances of going deep in the NCAA tournament, so the Jayhawks will hope to have him back as soon as possible. In the meantime, Jamari Traylor must elevate his game in the frontcourt, especially with talented freshman Cliff Alexander's status up in the air due to eligibility issues.
