Terminally Ill Cancer Patient Lauren Hill Scores in College Basketball Game

On Sunday, Lauren Hill got to live her dream of playing in a college basketball game. 

Hill was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer last November, but she didn't let the incurable disease stop her from fulfilling her goal.

Playing for Mount St. Joseph University, Hill was able to step on the court against Hiram College and get on the board with a layup early in the game.

It was the moment everyone in the arena was hoping to see, and she came through when her number was called. 

Hill gave her thoughts on the special game:

There is more to life than sports, but on this day, basketball gave Hill the opportunity of a lifetime.
