Bulls vs. Cavaliers: Live Score and Highlights from 2014 NBA Preseason

In what was easily one of the best preseason games you'll ever see, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Chicago Bulls 107-98 in a clash of Eastern Conference powerhouses.

Both teams treated the game very much like a regular season contest, with starters playing well into the fourth quarter.

While Chicago lost, they still have to leave the game feeling encouraged by the performance of point guard Derrick Rose. Rose was easily the best player on the floor tonight, collecting 30 points, five rebounds and three assists in just over 24 minutes of play.

Rose was nearly unstoppable getting to the basket, showing the aggressiveness that helped him win the 2011 MVP award.

For the Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving, Anderson Varejao and LeBron James all came away with big games. Irving's 28 points and seven assists led the team, although most of his production came with Rose on the bench.

Varejao dropped 22 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in his 23 minutes, while James had 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The Bulls were without starting guard Jimmy Butler who sprained his thumb against the Charlotte Hornets the night before.

If tonight was any indication, these should be the two best teams in the East this season. They next meet again on Halloween night in Chicago.

The Cavaliers improve to 5-1 and will face the Grizzlies in Memphis this Wednesday. The Bulls fall to 4-3, and will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
