
Cowboys' DeMarco Murray Records 6th Straight 100-Yard Rushing Game
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has 100 or more rushing yards in each of his first six games this year, matching the all-time record for consecutive 100-yard games to begin a campaign set by Jim Brown in 1958, per Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News.
Murray's latest effort was a 29-carry, 115-yard performance in Sunday's surprising 30-23 road win over the Seattle Seahawks, following outings of 118, 167, 100, 149 and 136 rushing yards in the first five games of the season.
On pace for 424 carries, 2,093 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns, Murray leads the NFL in carries (159) and rushing yards (785) by a wide margin, and also has a league-high six rushing scores.

The league's second-busiest back, Philadelphia Eagles star LeSean McCoy, has 116 carries through six weeks, falling 43 shy of Murray's total. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is second in yardage, with his 542 rushing yards leaving him 243 shy of Murray's whopping 785.
In fact, Murray incredibly has more yards (594) on first-down carries than Bell (or any other running back) does on all his totes combined, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, Murray's 785 rushing yards are the sixth-best total any player has recorded through the first six games of a season, per ESPN Stats & Info.
If he and the Dallas offensive line keep it up, a run at Eric Dickerson's single-season record of 2,105 rushing yards (1984) may be in the cards.
