New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie left Sunday's NFC East tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles due to back spasms.

As the second half began, the Giants provided an update on Rodgers-Cromartie's status for the remainder of the game:
Kieran Darcy of ESPN New York reported on Rodgers-Cromartie's status after the game:
Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News noted how Rodgers-Cromartie has dealt with a myriad of ailments in 2014:
Rodgers-Cromartie had expressed before Sunday's game how he felt at home in the Big Apple after arriving to play for his fourth team since being a first-round pick in the 2008 NFL draft.
"I think I've definitely found some guys that accepted me and allowed me to come in and be a part of something that they already had," said Rodgers-Cromartie, per Newsday's Tom Rock. "It definitely feels good to be accepted and we'll go from there."
There are only five cornerbacks listed on New York's current depth chart, and the next man up to spell Rodgers-Cromartie is Trumaine McBride. That ought to have Giants fans a bit apprehensive if Rodgers-Cromartie's condition is serious moving forward.
Entering Week 6, New York had the 24th-ranked pass defense, so having an athletic cover corner like Rodgers-Cromartie on the back end is vital. Absent a drastic improvement in their pass rush, the G-Men may be in trouble if Rodgers-Cromartie's injury issues persist for the remainder of the year.
