Steve Smith continues to trend upward for fantasy football owners after a huge performance against his former team, the Carolina Panthers. Torrey Smith, on the other hand, continues to look like one the less predictable players at the position.

After his performance on Sunday, Steve Smith has now scored double-digit fantasy points in standard-scoring leagues in three of four weeks and has notched at least seven points in every contest this season. There's also this, via the Ravens official Twitter account:

Adam Schefter of ESPN also passed along an interesting stat from Smith's tenure so far with the Ravens:

Can you say resurgence?

Smith wasn't shy about sharing his feelings after the game via Aaron Wilson the the Baltimore Sun:

And can you say big plays? With his long touchdown reception on Sunday, Smith again provided the Baltimore Ravens with a big-play threat they haven't had in years, per ESPN Stats & Info:

Torrey Smith, on the other hand, has continued to be well down the pecking order for Joe Flacco in the passing game and, at this point, appears to be nothing more than a deep threat who will have occasional value in weeks he gets free for a long touchdown. On the season, Steve Smith has been targeted 42 times by Flacco, whereas as Torrey Smith has been thrown toward just 21 times.

In other words, Torrey Smith is nothing more than a weekly lottery ticket. Steve Smith, on the other hand, is money in the bank for the owners who were savvy enough to pick him up. Keep inserting him into those lineups, folks.

Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and make some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than a Jay Cutler Fumblerooski.
