After a few close calls already this year, Brandon Marshall might actually miss a game.
The Chicago Bears receiver suffered an ankle injury in garbage time of his team's humiliating Week 10 affair against the Green Bay Packers. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune had the news:
After the game, Adam Jahns of Suntimes.com provided an update:
"#Bears WR Brandon Marshall said his ankle will be sore but that he will play next Sunday.

This isn't the first injury scare for Marshall in 2014. His status was in doubt up until the last minute when the Bears met the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2. Marshall not only played, but he also recorded five receptions for 48 yards and three touchdowns.
The nine-year veteran was also hobbled against the New York Jets in Week 3. He had one reception for six yards, which led to various fantasy football owners inundating the Denver Broncos' Brandon Marshall with negative tweets on social media.
Marshall has been a pillar of consistency and toughness throughout his career. With his one catch against the Jets, he increased his streak of games with a reception to 118 games, per ESPN Stats & Info:
Losing Marshall will obviously hamper the Bears passing attack and have an adverse effect on Jay Cutler, who's in the middle of a brutal stretch, made worse by Chicago's overall performance as a team.
It will be interesting if this is the tipping point that sends the Bears spiraling downward.
Following their 27-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 7, Bears players reportedly voiced their displeasure in the locker room, with Marshall as one of the most vocal.
He quickly moved to deny any rift between he and Cutler existed.
"I have a really nice condo. And guess what? Jay Cutler built that condo," Marshall said on Inside the NFL (via Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune). "We’re great. We’re great. You know, we’re like brothers. I think Coach (Marc) Trestman said it the best. But if I have a problem with Jay Cutler I’m going to go to Jay Cutler. If Jay Cutler has a problem with me, he’s going to come to me. We have that type of relationship."
Without Marshall on the field to provide that leadership, Chicago could come apart at the seams.
