Knile Davis, Joe McKnight's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 3
The Kansas City Chiefs plodding offense got off to a fine start against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, with running back Knile Davis providing the majority of the fireworks.
Davis carried the ball 14 times in the first half for 69 yards. The second-year back showed off his excellent vision and ability to shed tackles on a 21-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, his third rushing score of the young season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Fleet-footed running back Joe McKnight got involved in the passing game, reeling in two catches for 38 yards in the first half. Still, he carried the ball just one time in the first two quarters and it is abundantly clear that Davis is the focal point of the offense while Jamaal Charles is sidelined with an ankle injury.
McKnight's outlook reversed course in the second half. He picked up two touchdowns through the air and finished with a more than respectable line. Davis continued to put in a workhorse performance and the fact that the coaches leaned on him heavily to run out the clock despite two fumbles shows they have ample trust in their (temporarily) featured back.

| McKnight | 1 | 3 | 0 | 6 | 64 | 2 |
McKnight's edge over Davis in the passing attack doesn't make him much of a viable fantasy football option beyond the next few weeks. He's worth picking up and stashing on the bench to see if the good times are here to stay, but today's scores were the first two offensive touchdowns of his career.

Davis is a great handcuff option in many leagues, and as long as Jamaal Charles remains on the sidelines, Davis gets bumped up to surefire starter status as an RB2 with plenty of upside. When Charles returns, Davis might have earned himself some extra touches and could be worth keeping as a possible flex option.
