Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 2
There might be some value in the Indianapolis Colts rushing attack after all.
Trent Richardson has not shown much in the past year since coming over from the Cleveland Browns, but he did provide some signs of life against the Philadelphia Eagles. With Ahmad Bradshaw also having a strong performance, fantasy owners finally have something to look forward to in this duo.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Richardson has been a major bust in his NFL career both in real life and in fantasy football. After totaling just 20 rushing yards on six carries last week, it would not be unrealistic to simply drop him from fantasy teams.
However, he started his Week 2 game against the Eagles with a strong effort in the first half:
Bob Kravitz of WTHR notes how rare of a performance this was for the young running back:
Eric Karabell simply attributed Richardson's productive half to the poor Philadelphia run defense:
Still, the Eagles had a top-10 run defense last season and allowed just two yards per carry in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Richardson actually made good cuts and showed some ability to be the player many were expecting when he was taken with the No. 3 overall pick of the 2012 draft.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw had fewer carries but still managed 60 yards from scrimmage with a receiving touchdown in the first half. He added another score through the air in the second half, a rarity for his career:
He has clearly earned a role in the offense regardless of what Richardson is doing.
He also had two rushing attempts inside the Philadelphia 5-yard line in the first half. Although he was stopped, it is nice to see the team have faith in the veteran.
Both players are worth a roster spot at the moment, but fantasy owners might want to wait to play them against only favorable matchups until either shows more consistency. Still, seeing any production is a positive development after some poor efforts in the past.
