Breaking Down WWE Network Schedule for Week of June 29, 2014

David BixenspanJun 27, 2014

Want to know if there's anything of note scheduled to air on WWE Network?  We're here to help.  Whether it's new shows, newly added archival content or recommendations for content that's already available and may just be new to you (which will be in bold), you should be able to find something fun to watch from this listing.

As always, times listed are those listed in the schedule, which uses Eastern Time.

Sunday

TOP NEWS

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW

7:30 a.m., Money in the Bank Marathon: Every Money in the Bank pay-per-view event to date will be shown Sunday, up until the live show.  There are zero bad Money in the Bank shows, and the 2011 show is possibly the greatest PPV in WWE history.

7:30 p.m., Money in the Bank 2014 Kickoff: Features a Daniel Bryan interview in his first appearance since the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was vacated.

8:00 p.m., Money in the Bank 2014: The PPV event proper, featuring two ladder matches.  It was just going to be one for the first time in years (and the first time since the stipulation has had its own show), but then Bryan's neck injury happened.  Based on the event's history, a bad show would probably be a bigger surprise than any finish they have planned.

Monday

10:00 a.m., Raw Flashback 1/9/95: Raw celebrates its second anniversary without much fanfare at the Summit in Houston.  Razor Ramon vs. Owen Hart in an Intercontinental Championship match and Howard Finkel vs. Harvey Wippleman in a tuxedo match (Yes.) are the featured matches, plus Hakushi makes his debut against a young Matt Hardy and William Shatner of all people is the King's Court guest.

7:30 p.m. and 11:06 p.m., Raw Pre-Show and Raw Backstage Pass: With Josh Matthews gone, let's hope that Renee Young is the new host and these shows get good again.

Tuesday

Once again, the schedule stops at 5:00 a.m.  This time, nothing at all is listed for the rest of the week (something new and special being added?), so for the rest of the week, we have to stick to what we know based on the usual new programming time slots.

10:00 a.m., Raw Flashback 1/16/95: Bret Hart vs. Jeff Jarrett in a very good match is the main event and Shatner is at ringside, because...yeah.  The Heavenly Bodies take on The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly in the other featured match.

8:00 p.m., Main Event: Insert joke about how this hasn't been taped yet.

Wednesday

10:00 a.m., Raw Flashback 1/23/95: The night after Royal Rumble '95.  New tag team champions The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly defend against The Smoking Gunns in a good, long match, while Jeff Jarrett and The Roadie are the King's Court guests.

8 p.m., Best of Raw and 10 p.m., Best of SmackDown: Your guess is as good as mine.

Thursday

10:00 a.m., Raw Flashback 1/30/95: Tag title rematch with a surprising finish that I won't spoil is the main event.  King Kong Bundy vs. Mabel is the co-feature while Mr. Bob Backlund is Jerry Lawler's guest.

8:00 p.m., Total Divas: "A Tango with Fandango": This episode has plenty of Bryan, which scientifically makes it a good episode.  Also: Eva Marie does wacky, cringe-worthy things.

9:00 p.m., NXT: Sami Zayn takes on Justin Gabriel in the main event.  That sounds awesome.  Also, in women's action, we'll see Charlotte and Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch and Bayley, which also sounds kind of awesome.

10:00 p.m., Superstars: It's possible, maybe even likely, we could get two Gabriel matches in a row.

Friday

Being a holiday (Independence Day), there could be a marathon of some kind.  If not, we know we'll be seeing...

10:00 a.m., Raw Flashback 2/6/95: The Million Dollar Corporation (Tatanka, IRS, and King Kong Bundy) take on Lex Luger and Men on a Mission in the only competitive match and, wow, does that sound terrible.  Razor Ramon vs. Frankie Lancaster is probably a good squash match, but I have zero memory of this episode.

What are you looking forward to?  Let us know in the comments.
