How About Brandon Marshall to the Buccaneers?

Tom EdringtonJun 15, 2009

Denver wasn't afraid to get rid of a player that some experts deem a "franchise quarterback."

Could the Broncos, possibly, maybe, somehow, someway, part ways with the discontented wide receiver that is Brandon Marshall?

Perfect destination for the unhappy pass catcher?

How about Tampa Bay?

If the Buccaneers were bantering around the name Plaxico Burress, why not go after a young, OUTSTANDING player like Marshall?

He could be what's missing in the Tampa Bay offense. He's 6-4, 230. Huge skills.

The Bucs have the cap room to cut him a new deal. They also have the draft choices that could be appealing to Denver.

Many expect the Buccaneers could have a tough time this season. No one wants to find themselves with a top five draft pick. Why not ship that pick to Denver NOW, for Marshall?

Could it happen?

It's a long shot at best. Denver is already under fire for the Jay Cutler trade to Chicago. It is uncertain that the Broncos would want to rid themselves of another top offensive weapon.

Still, stranger things happen in this league.

Antonio Bryant is on a one-year deal in Tampa. The Bucs are basically asking him to prove that 2008 was not a fluke.

Marshall would give Tampa two major threats down field.

And when you look at Tampa's schedule, that is something it could surely use.

And, just one more guy that Raheem Morris could fall in love with.
