England come into the Wednesday evening clash in excellent form, having continued their 100% record during the qualifying campaign with a 4-0 win away to Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The Three Lions haven’t lost in England since the defeat to Croatia in November 2007 that eliminated them from the running for Euro 2008, and are thus undefeated at home under the stewardship of Fabio Capello.

The Italian coach will be without Rio Ferdinand once more, after the Manchester United defender failed to recover from the injury that saw him miss out on England's win against Kazakhstan.

Midfielder Gareth Barry is also absent for England due to suspension, after picking up his second booking of the campaign on Saturday.

Andorra

Andorra are yet to get a point on the board in the race for a World Cup place, and come into their clash with England on the back of a 5-1 drubbing away to Belarus on the weekend.

David Rodrigo’s side have scored just two goals in the campaign thus far, shipping nineteen goals at the other end.

Andorra have never won a qualifier away from home, recording just three home wins in the ten years they have been competing at international level.

Prediction

England were 2-0 victors when the two sides met earlier in the qualification campaign, and Wednesday’s game has the potential to be even more comfortable for Capello’s men.

This is the second successive major tournament qualification process where England and Andorra have been paired together, and England were 5-0 winners in the last equivalent England vs Andorra fixture.

Despite the eventual ease with which England strutted to victory against Kazakhstan, they had looked nervous and more than a little vulnerable in the first half-hour, and Capello will be keen to ensure they make a more positive start against Andorra.

Gareth Barry’s suspension leaves England contemplating a potential change of system, with David Beckham the only other recognised central midfielder in the squad. Capello may elect to put Lampard and Gerrard alongside each other in the centre and bring in another wide player, or could bank on Andorra’s lack of a goal threat to add Beckham to an attack minded midfield.

Whoever takes to the field on Wednesday, however, it is certain that England will have too much quality for Andorra. Victory would take England to the verge of World Cup qualification and with a Wembley crowd looking for a good show, expect the Three Lions to deliver plenty of goals.

England 5 - 0 Andorra
