Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis
The Cleveland Cavaliers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 97-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
While it didn't come easy, the Cavs were able to escape with a two-point victory thanks to three missed looks from point-blank range by Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah with under a minute left in regulation.
Kyrie Irving dropped 19 points and compiled a team-high six assists, but shot just 7-of-21 from the field.
The real story for the Cavs was the play of Andrew Bynum, who scored a season-high 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked five shots in a season-high 30 minutes. It was his first double-double in a Cavaliers uniform.
Dion Waiters provided a spark off the bench for Mike Brown's club, scoring 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting in 27 minutes, as well.
As a team, the Cavs shot 47.4 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from three (7-of-15).
Five Bulls players finished the game in double-figures, including Luol Deng, who scored a game-high 27 points on 12-of-20 shooting. Deng also finished with a game-high 11 assists.
The biggest surprise for Chicago was the play of rookie Tony Snell, who dropped 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting starting in place of the injured Jimmy Butler.
Taj Gibson added 18 points (7-of-10 shooting) off the bench.
Although the Bulls outscored the Cavs, 27-20, in the fourth frame, it wasn't enough to overcome an 11-point deficit after three quarters of play.
Next up for the Bulls is a meeting with the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Monday while the Cavaliers are set for a showdown with the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday.
