Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Stars to Watch
Providence Friars: Bryce Cotton and LaDontae Henton
The Friars are undefeated this season and their top two scorers have been instrumental in their success. The duo combined for 26 points Friday against Vanderbilt.
As the Friars get set to battle La Salle for a spot in the championship game, Bryce Cotton and LaDontae Henton will need to deliver similar production for their team to advance.
Maryland Terrapins: Jake Layman
The Terrapins sophomore swingman is averaging 16.4 points per game, and he had 16 points and eight rebounds Friday against Marist. Jake Layman is making 50 percent of his three-point attempts this season. If he gets hot, he can almost single-handedly keep the Terps in a game.
Maryland is one of the favorites to win the tournament and Layman is a smart bet to walk away with MVP honors.
La Salle Explorers: Tyrone Garland
The 6'1" senior guard is the highest scoring player in the tournament. He's averaging 18.8 points per game. On Friday, he had 25 points against Morgan State on the strength of four three-pointers. The Friars are expected to win, but if the Explorers are going to pull the upset, Tyrone Garland will have to be huge.
