Redskins Fans Will Love Wale's Theme Song to Robert Griffin III Documentary
Redskins fans who are not already ecstatic for the start of the season will get that much-needed jolt of excitement from this new song from native Washington, D.C., rapper Wale.ย
DC Sports Bog of The Washington Post reports on the latest ode to a superstar athlete, this time featuring star Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.ย
However, this isn't just some fan service from a rapper who is friendly with the QB, it's actually for the upcoming documentaryย RGIII: The Will to Win, which was produced by NFL Films and Gatorade Productions, and will premiere Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

The report states the documentary will cover Griffin and his arduous journey of rehabilitating his devastating knee injury, as well as the many subplots that have surrounded his effort.ย
That's all well and good, but the theme song is what will keep fans captivated for the remaining days until the show airs. The title is "No Pain No Game," which is fitting considering the images of Griffin killing himself in the gym.ย
While the video only covers one verse,ย DC Sports Bogย has the lyrics for the entire song, delivering gems like the following:ย
"Iโm committed to this, Iโm addicted to winnin but ainโt livin for that
Tryin to get em to see I donโt do it for me as long as Iโm givin civilians a hundred million percentThis is hard work, this is our turf, Iโm a carry the city till my arms hurt
"
Iโm a move make and never lose faith I know the easy plays do the hard work
This definitely does the trick as a theme song for the upcomingย documentary, but it could also turn into an anthem for an athlete who has worked hard to get back on the field.ย
He is a star quarterback with a vibrant personality and the support of a fanbase that understands what it means if he does indeed return from a horrible injury to make a Week 1 start.ย
If there is any quarterback who deserves his own theme song, it's Griffin.ย
