Fantasy Advice for Owners Uncertain About RG3's Return
Robert Griffin III is still working his way back from a devastating knee injury, which has fantasy owners and Washington Redskins fans alike worried about his production this season.
Itโs understandable, as the rookie sensationโs knee fell apart before our very eyes on national television during last yearโs playoff matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Instead of scouring the internet for tidbits and blurbs about his recovery and advice on what you should do as an owner or prospective owner of the superstar signal-caller, keep reading for an all-encompassing fantasy guide to RGIIIโs return.

The Latest
Before the Redskins took to the field for a Week 2 Monday Night Football preseason battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers, RGIII was spotted working out on the field.
According to Rotoworld, the 23-year-old looked absolutely scintillating as he dropped back at full speed, sprinted 50 yards and pulled off various other โexplosiveโ movements.
A day later, NFL.com's Jeff Darlington tweeted more good news:
With renowned orthopedic surgeon and Redskins team doctor Dr. James Andrews noticeably impressed with his patientโs recovery, it seems more and more likely that he will be given the green light to start in Week 1.
Donโt Panic
For those owners that already rolled the dice and selected the โSkins quarterback, you must remain confident in your investment and avoid the pressure to trade him away at an unfair cost.
Any fantasy owner that watched the dual-threat dynamo move prior to the Steelers game should feel extremely good about RGIIIโs chances of re-emerging as a top-five quarterback this season.
Even if some less-than-stellar stories leak about his recovery or the coaching staff shows concern about Griffinโs health, ignore the noise.
With injuries of this nature, there are plenty of smokescreens and other false leads being leaked to throw off opponents from the true nature of the teamโs intentions.
As of now, it seems that the Redskins' intention is to line RGIII up under center on Sept. 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Where to Draft RGIII
Most fantasy leagues have yet to hold a draft this season, which means owners will have to make some tough decisions and decide where to properly value Griffin.
In any standard league that features anywhere from eight to 12 owners, RGIII should be considered a late-third or early-fourth-round selection.
Unless there is breaking news that the โSkins superstar suffers a setback, will be forced to miss time or isnโt close to 100 percent recovered by the time you are on the clock in that round, donโt be afraid to pull the trigger.
Although heโll always be an injury risk due to the fearless nature of his runs and superhero-esque maneuvers he attempts to pull off against all odds, Griffin also has the ability to put a team on his back and score a ton of fantasy points.
2012โs Offensive Rookie of the Year dazzled right out of the gate and finished the year by completing 258-of-393 passes for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also rushed 120 times for 815 yards and seven more scores.
While he did fumble 12 times, he only threw five interceptions and proved that heโs just as dangerous as he was during his Heisman Trophy-winning efforts at Baylor.
Give RGIII a chance to be your QB1 in fantasy and you will not be disappointed upon his return.
