Logan Forsythe's Gaffe Becomes Everth Cabrera's Web Gem in Padres Win
Have a ground ball you are having issues with? Well, you should see a man who can help you with such things, like Everth Cabrera.
Thanks to BuzzFeed and Logan Forsythe, we now have one of the best plays of the week.
The video is from the ninth inning of the Padres' eventual 5-3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday afternoon.

With nobody out and a runner at first, the Braves' Chris Johnson slaps the ball to second base. Forsythe moves over to make a backhanded play that might not be routine, but is hardly the handful it turns out to be.
The grounder hits his glove and ricochets high into the air for what is obviously a great break for Johnson and the Braves. I imagine Padres fans around the stadium thought this play was the beginning of the end.
But wait! What is this, a bird, a plane?
No, it's just the Padres shortstop flying over to grab that ball and turn a bungled play into a wonderful web gem.
San Diego would surrender one more run before ending the game on a Justin Upton strikeout. While it turned out to be a great play during a game that seemed to be well in hand, it really may have saved a crucial run from scoring later in the inning.
Cabrera is a handy guy to have around, like a baseball superhero who shows up to save the day with one dramatic show of athletic brilliance.
Someone gets this guy a cape.
