Detriot needs more than Stafford

Detroit Needs more than Stafford. Much more

The positions that I would put as desperate are OL,DT,DE,CB,S. the positions that are okay are HB,WR,QB the good positions are LB,K,P. So looking at this the lions need to draft people on the offensive and defensive line first. The lions should take Eugene Monroe of Virgina with the first pick of the draft.  With the 20th Malcolm Jenkins or Rey Maualuga.

Defense is where they need the most work everyone now's it was a lake of good defense that caused this 0-16 season. I would say take a DT with the first pick but i don't see any That are worthy of the No. 1. Monroe along with Gosder Cherilus should be a start of a good o-line.

Maualuga would add to the line-backing squad a very powerful run-stopper. Ernie Sims, Julian Peterson and Maualuga. would be one of the best Line- backing squads in the NFL.

Malcolm Jenkin's would be a good addition to the worst secondary in the NFL.

With the No. 33 pick they should take the Best DT left.

My biggest hope for the draft this year is that with the first pick of the third round they take Pat White of West Virgina.

Detriot's case for White. (west Virgina)

1. Daunte Culpepper who would be better at building a running QB for the NFL then one of the NFL's best running QBs.

2. Low pick with three picks before him it gives them a chance to draft their biggest needs OT Eugene Monroe CB Malcolm Jenkins and DT Jarron Gilbert or Ron Brace. meaning they get what should be a great NFL QB after getting all the needs they have to get first.

3. Time to grow. white would have 2-3 years to grow into a NFL QB, while not making a huge amount of money. Taking Stafford would mean either starting a rookie or letting him grow either way the first pick is gonna want a lot of money.

Also another pick the lions should make is Terrance Taylor of Michigan. Being a Michigan fan i watched him all year. he is a solid player who has been criticized for taking plays off. Anyone that good stuck on the train wreck Michigan was is gonna take a break now and then.

Detroit's case for Taylor. ( Michigan)

1. Low pick meaning not to much money and already starting material with Cory Redding gone they need a big guy to take his place yes they already signed Grady Jackson a 345 pound 6-2 DT but he has 13 years in the NFL.

2. Run-stopper Taylor can stop the run a factor the lions need to work on. finishing 32nd this past season.

3. Taylor could still not be picked by the fourth round i would put him as the biggest draft steal this season.

another late pick Kory sheets of Purdue.

Detriot's case for Sheets. ( Purdue)

1. Low pick The Purdue back should still be around during the fourth round.

2. Provides a second good back that is very young

3. Cheap a fourth round back isn't gonna need a lot of money.

Detriot's case for James Davis ( Clemson)

1. Again late pick will probably still be around in the sixth round.

2. Cheap like sheet of Purdue but probably even  cheaper.

3. Provides a solid third string back the NFL has turned into a two back system so a third and even fourth back a key.

Detriot's case for Rashard Johnson. ( Alabama)

1. The Lions secondary is horrible and a third round pick with this potential is a major steal.

2. Will be a major improvement on the secondary done cheaply.

One thing I kept bringing up is cheapness of players. Because I think the Lions should be keeping in mind is the big players available on trades Anquan Boldin and Julius Peppers.
