Stars to Watch
Andrew Wiggins, East
The top overall recruit on basically every publication is going to star wherever he goes to school.
Andrew Wiggins is an incredible athlete that has the versatility to play almost any position on the floor. At 6'8" he can score inside or shoot over defenders with a consistent shot from the outside.
He also is a solid defender that makes getting past him almost impossible for anyone his age.
If not for the NBA's age rule, the wing would likely be a top pick in the NBA draft this season. Instead, he will certainly dominate the college ranks next season before turning pro in 2014.
Dakari Johnson, East
One of the first things you should notice when you look at the rosters is the ridiculous amount of Kentucky recruits featured in this game.
Dakari Johnson is one of six players set to join John Calipari's team next season. In addition, both Andrew Wiggins and Aaron Gordon are both still considering Kentucky.
However, while all the perimeter players are fighting for the ball, Johnson will be an elite center that should dominate the boards and get easy buckets inside.
With few other centers in this game, the 6'10", 250-pound prospect should be a force inside.
Aaron Gordon, West
The first thing you notice when you watch Aaron Gordon play is his pure athleticism. He can throw down dunks with as much force as anyone in the nation, and his "jumpability" translates to the defensive end as well.
Despite being 6'8", he could easily excel in the low post at the next level.
However, the rest of his game allows him to move outside to either the wing or power forward, where he has the handle to drive to the basket and score in that way.
Gordon will be one of the best rebounders in the nation immediately and has the all-around skills to help any team he is on become a contender for a national championship.
Jabari Parker, West
The Chicago native is certain to have plenty of fans at this event, which takes place at the United Center. In a few years, he will have a lot of fans all over the country.
Jabari Parker is the most versatile player in the nation, as he does a little bit of everything well. He can shoot from anywhere on the floor, has great handles and can rebound well for his size. He also excels on defense, where he uses his athleticism to stick with top opponents.
Despite these talents, he might not end up standing out in an All-Star game as he is a very unselfish player who is willing to do anything to help the team. His style is better suited for a more competitive atmosphere.
Next season he will head to Duke, a squad that will need help after losing seniors Mason Plumlee, Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly. As long as Parker plays to his potential, however, the Blue Devils will be in good shape.
