When referring to the Atlantic 10, go ahead and remove "mid" and "major" from your vocabulary.
The league that sent four teams to the Big Dance last year has added national darlings Butler and VCU, making it easily one of the most competitive conferences in America.

At the top, you have Saint Louis.
The Billikens are owners of the year's most inspiring, heart-warming story.
Beloved head coach Rick Majerus passed away at the beginning of the season, but behind the guard play of Kwamain Mitchell and Jordair Jett, and the leadership of interim head coach Jim Crews, the veteran, defensively focused squad persevered and finished alone atop the conference.
Not only are the Billikens the sentimental pick, but they are the odds-on favorite this week at the Barclays Center.
But it won't be easy.
Shaka Smart's havoc-ly dangerous VCU squad and Brad Stevens' Butler Bulldogs have knocked off some of the nation's best teams this season. Moreover, Final Four runs in the recent past prove both are always dangerous come tournament play.
Temple, led by the league's best scorer in Khalif Wyatt, and La Salle, led by the league's second best scorer in Ramon Galloway, round out the impressive five near-locks for the Field of 68.
Throw in Massachusetts and Xavier, two squads that could force the committee's hand with a deep tournament run, and you have the makings for a scintillating, heart-pounding four days of basketball.
Big Ten, Schmig Schmen (OK, not quite). The A-10 tourney will be work-cancelling good.
