New Mexico certainly isn't invincible, though. In fact, the Lobos just lost to Air Force (17-12, 8-8 MWC) and lost to UNLV on Feb. 9.
San Diego State and Boise State are both on the outside looking in, but Boise State has shown signs of potentially being a sleeper in the MWC tournament. The Broncos are also fighting to make it to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2008.
Here's a look at the schedule, complete with a profile of sleeper Boise State.

Sleeper Team to Watch: Boise State (21-9, 9-7 MWC)
Boise State has won five of its last six games down the stretch, with the only loss coming to No. 3 seed UNLV. That includes wins over No. 2 seed Colorado State and San Diego State.
It's a long shot for the Broncos to win the MWC tournament, but the pressure to win one or two games to make it to the NCAA tournament is going to make Boise State a very determined squad in Las Vegas (New Mexico, Colorado State and UNLV are all locks for the NCAA tournament and don't have as much to lose).
Boise State ranks in the top 50 in the nation in points per game and field-goal percentage. The Broncos' defense has also improved down the stretch, holding Colorado State to 42 percent shooting, UNLV to 43 percent shooting and SDSU to 40 percent shooting.
