AP College Basketball Poll 2013: Complete Week 14 Standings Released

Adam WellsJun 8, 2018

The game of musical chairs for the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll continued this week, as the Indiana Hoosiers ascended back to the top slot for the first time since December.ย

The Hoosiers vaulted two spots on the strength of a 37-point blowout at Purdue and an impressive 81-73 victory over last week's No. 1 team, Michigan.

Things don't get any easier for Tom Crean's team this week, as it travels to Illinois and Ohio State.

Speaking of Michigan, the Wolverines' first week as the No. 1 team in the country in more than 20 years did not go as planned. The loss at Indiana was a good wake-up call for this outstanding, albeit young, squad.ย

The loss dropped Michigan back down to the No. 3 spot in the country. This will be another challenging week for the Wolverines, who get Ohio State at home on Tuesday night before going to Wisconsin on Saturday.ย

It was not a good week to be ranked first or second in the polls. In addition to Michigan's loss, Kansas suffered its second defeat of the season on Saturday night against Oklahoma State after entering the week as the No. 2 team in the country.

It was the first loss for the Jayhawks at home in their past 33 games. The losses by Kansas and Michigan made it so that every team in the nation has at least two defeats on the season.ย
