EA Sports Names Jay Cutler Next Madden Cover (Humor)
In a somewhat startling move, EA Sports has named the face of 2010's edition of their Madden franchise: Jay Cutler.
Cutler, however, might need to have his uniform photoshopped onto the cover; of the past few weeks his feud with the new Denver management team led to the Broncos opening the door for him to be traded on Tuesday evening.
When asked how the most popular sports video game of all time could roll the dice on such a dynamic, polarizing personality at this point in the offseason, a representative had an unusual commentary.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"We've heard for years about the so-called 'Madden Curse,' and we wanted to be proactive this year," said John Doe, marketing agent for EA Sports. "So many great players have agreed to be on the cover, only to see their careers go south relatively soon after gracing the game with their likeness."
"So this year we decided to pick a player who had torpedoed his own career before we got to him. We had already featured Michael Vick, and Terrell Owens is now playing in unincorporated Canada or something like that, so [Cutler] was the natural choice."
How the progress of his trade impacts both the cover art and the sales of the game will be something to track closely over the coming months.
Please note: this piece is pure fiction and is intended to be nothing more than an April Fool's Day joke. Please, nobody in Buffalo take Mr. Doe's quote as being disrespectful.
