WWE TLC 2012 Results: 7 Huge New Rivalries We Could See Going Forward

Daine PavloskiDec 19, 2012

WWE's Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view was full of excitement and surprises. With all of the broken furniture and beaten Superstars, the WWE Universe saw some new rivalries start to take shape and some established feuds get pushed to new levels.

Here are some new rivalries to watch out for as the WWE departs on the Road to WrestleMania 29.

1. John Cena vs AJ Lee

1 of 7

It seems like just yesterday the WWE Universe was being treated to extended, televised make-out sessions between John Cena and former general manager AJ Lee.

These two were in the middle of a love scandal for weeks on Raw, and just when AJ started to wear sliced-up John Cena T-shirts, she turned her back on him.

AJ Lee cost John Cena his chance at the World Heavyweight Championship and followed up by apparently sicking Big E Langston on Cena at WWE Raw.

After TLC and the Slammys, it certainly appears that we are just beginning to dig into this story and whatever AJ's intentions are.

2. Ryback vs the Shield

2 of 7

Before TLC, Ryback didn't like The Shield. They ruined one of his chances at winning the WWE Championship from CM Punk, as they "corrected the injustices" against the WWE champ. Throughout it all, however, Ryback's focus was still on Punk.

After putting on a definite "Match of the Year" candidate at TLC against The Shield, that's all changed.

Ryback and the Shield (along with Team Hell No) put on a great show at WWE's last pay-per-view of the year.

To make it even better, Ryback still has yet to get the better of the WWE's newest faction, which means we haven't seen the last of this feud.

3. Vickie Guerrero vs Dolph Ziggler

3 of 7

Like the bad blood between AJ and Cena, this feud was magnified during the Slammy edition of Raw.

At TLC, however, the stage was set as a rift began to subtlety form between Mr. Money in the Bank and the Assistant to the General Regional Manager, or whatever Vickie's title is.

Vickie came in to mess with Cena, which led to her being beat down by AJ, who then helped Ziggler win. Right away, alarms were going off. What does that mean for Ziggler and Vickie?

We saw what it meant when AJ jumped Ziggler during the Slammy award for best kiss. Vickie freaked and challenged Ziggler and AJ to a mixed tag match including herself and John Cena.

Keep an eye on this feud as it boils into a huge, crazy rivalry between Ziggler and his former...girlfriend/manager/grandma.

4. Alberto Del Rio vs 3MB/Anyone Who Messes with Ricardo

4 of 7

Over recent weeks there have been rumors of a face turn for Alberto Del Rio, but you, you already knew that...maybe.

Either way, ADR's possible turn started at TLC. After his personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez came out to support the Spanish announce team, Del Rio came out to defend his announcer's honor.

Del Rio and the Miz then joined the Brooklyn Brawler to take on 3MB. ADR and the Miz came out for an encore during the Slammys and took on 3MB again, this time with Tommy Dreamer at their side.

While many fans think ADR is turning face, that may not be the case, according to Del Rio on Twitter:

"

Don't any of you get any ideas that I'm going to be a good guy! If you mess with my best friend all the rules go out the window!

— Alberto Del Rio (@VivaDelRio) December 18, 2012"

Del Rio has been floating in limbo since his feud against Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship. Now, whether he's turning face or staying as a heel, it looks like Alberto Del Rio is ready to defend his announcer and take on all comers, which for now, looks to be 3MB.

5. Team Rhodes Scholars vs Team Hell No

5 of 7

The WWE Universe has had a little taste of Team Hell No vs Team Rhodes Scholars before. At WWE's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, Team Rhodes Scholars got a victory over Team Hell No through disqualification.

After the TLC pay-per-view, fans better get used to seeing these two teams go at it.

Team Rhodes Scholars beat Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio to earn the title of No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Now that the Rhodes Scholars don't have anyone standing in between them and the champions, this rivalry between the WWE's best tag teams will start heating up.

6. John Cena vs Big E Langston

6 of 7

This rivalry hasn't truly begun...yet.

The events at TLC set up this possible rivalry, which could be an event of epic proportions as the WWE moves toward the future.

AJ screwing over John Cena as he climbed the ladder toward the Money in the Bank briefcase at TLC, set her up, once again, as a crazy, unstable, lovestruck girl, who blows up everything she touches.

As Raw went off the air Monday, AJ was skipping around NXT's Big E Langston after he put Cena down. We can only assume that we'll see more of the Mark Henry "Nation" lookalike against John Cena, which could be WWE's passing of the torch depending on how highly they regard Big E.

7. Wade Barrett vs Kofi Kingston

7 of 7

This is another feud that was amplified tenfold at WWE's TLC pay-per-view. Kofi and Wade have been feuding for the last few months over the Intercontinental Championship.

Their matchups have been good on Raw and SmackDown, but after the match they put on at TLC, this simple midcard feud has become one of the best rivalries going in the WWE.

Kingston and Barrett beat each other down at TLC and continued feuding on Raw the night after.

This feud not only features two of the best young talents in the WWE today, but could be a feud we'll see going for years to come.
